Volleyball

Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams, usually consisting of six players each, are separated by a high net. The objective of the game is to score points by sending a ball over the net and into the opposing team's court in such a way that it cannot be returned. Players use their hands and arms to hit the ball, with the game typically featuring three contacts (or hits) per possession, where teammates can pass, set, and spike the ball. The game can be played indoors on a hard court or outdoors on sand, and it can be played in various formats, such as beach volleyball, which typically consists of two players per team. Volleyball emphasizes skills such as serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking, and defensive play, making it a dynamic and fast-paced sport enjoyed by many worldwide. Points can be scored on either team's serve, which is known as rally scoring. The game is typically played to a set number of points, and matches are usually played in sets, with teams needing to win a certain number of sets to win the match.
